Connex introduces a full line of streaming media services, including Connex WebTalk and Connex LiveTalk. Connex WebTalk brings archived voice recordings to web sites, thereby creating informative sites with the enhanced power of voice. Connex LiveTalk allows the user to broadcast voice live over the Internet – set up live events quickly to communicate with any audience, anywhere.

Simple to use, the services are flexible using any touch-tone or cellular phone, a 24/7 toll-free recording number; and, robust because they support Windows Media Player or RealPlayer formats. Both Connex WebTalk and Connex LiveTalk can be added to web sites effortlessly by using the telephone and a patent-pending technology.

"The Internet Telephony Expo is the ideal setting to announce our streaming media services. Not only will we meet numerous prospective clients, but we will investigate the hottest new technology to enhance and expand our streaming media services in 2001," states Bobbi Heyel, president of Connex International.

"The Communications Industry, including traditional and next-generation IP-based products and services, is by far the fastest growing technology marketplace in history," says Rich Tehrini, President of TMC. PacketPort.com Announces Gateway, Integrated Access Device and Soft Central Office Products at Internet Telephony Conference & Expo 2000 Show

CORONADO, CA– October 4, 2000 – PacketPort.com, Inc. (OTC BB: PKPT www.PacketPort.com), a leader in enabling bundled services over broadband, today announced the availability of its Gateway, Integrated Access Device (IAD) and Soft Central Office products to the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo 2000 audience (Booth #82). PacketPort.com provides IP Telephony solutions and services for a wide range of telephony applications for the Internet, telecom and other data networking industries based on the flexible packet gateway architecture. PacketPort.com offers Dynamic Soft Central Offices, including large-scale intelligent call agents residing at any regional switching center and Integrated Access Devices (IADs). These components work in conjunction with existing DSLAMs to deliver bundled voice and data solutions.

"We invite the Telco community to stand up and take notice of how our complete line of Voice-Over-Broadband products radically extend the capabilities of not just DSL-- but cable, wireless, T1, E1 and SS7/C7 service to the market," said Nathan McCracken, Vice President of Sales at PacketPort.com. "This emerging communications market has not yet fully realized the opportunities we present, as PacketPort.com continues to provide a wide variety of bundled services, including multiple lines of Voice and Fax-over-IP, to Carriers, ISPs and Next Generation Telcos worldwide," he added.

DataCrate SS7ä

PacketPort.com has been providing proven, carrier-class SS7 products for over three years as the company announces its Soft SS7 Serverä , the DataCrate SS7ä , which is the signaling network that controls calls over long distance circuit-switched networks. The Soft SS7/C7 server takes call information from the IP network and converts it to ISUP/SS7 signaling to complete calls originating from MGCP IADs and the Voice-Over-IP network. The server handles the control and routing of all calls and it checks for and reports on network failures.

Dynamic Soft Central Office: DataCrate SCOä

PacketPort.com’s Dynamic Soft Central Office, DataCrate SCO ä , is a large-scale intelligent call agent. DataCrate SCO receives local voice traffic from all IP subscribers in packet format and it determines how the call needs to be routed, for example, to another IAD or to the PSTN. PacketPort.com offers two models of its Soft Central Office. The first model includes a soft SS7/C7 server that connects to the PSTN, enabling local voice traffic to be converted to standard TDM format for efficient integration into the PSTN. DataCrate SCO with the soft SS7/C7 server eliminates the need for a Class 5 switch. The second model provides only the intelligent call agent, that receives local voice traffic from IADs and it terminates these calls to other IADs in the IP network.

Integrated Access Device: VoicePakä

PacketPort.com’s IAD, VoicePakä , resides at each subscriber’s premise to provide standard local telephone service. This is accomplished via connection to the subscriber’s internal local area network. This provides toll-grade voice and fax capabilities via standard telephone ports. VoicePak enables voice traffic to merge with data traffic over a single copper pair DSL connection.

Co Highlights

PacketPort.com, Inc., a leader in enabling bundled services over broadband, provides IP Telephony solutions and services for a wide range of telephony applications for the Internet, telecom and other data networking industries, based on the flexible packet gateway architecture. Extending the capabilities of DSL, cable, wireless T1, E1 and SS7/C7 service, PacketPort.com enables a variety of bundled services, including multiple lines of Voice and Fax-over-IP, in addition to high-speed Internet access. PacketPort.com’s products are sold to International Carriers, Internet Service Providers and Next Generation Telcos. New at the show

will be able to launch 2 new products at the IT Expo show. We will be issuing a press release at the show regarding the launch of our new products - the Vega 50 IAD (Integrated Access Device) with 2 fall back ports and the Vega 50 Basic Rate ISDN. However, please contact me if you require further info.

Press Conference with Danny Mercer, Sales Manager and Key Spokesperson.

VegaStream brings benefits of Voice over IP "applications on tap" within reach of SMEs with launch of two new products

The Vega 50 IAD (Integrated Access Device), and the Vega 50 Basic Rate ISDN (BRI) gateway, will be launched at the Internet Telephony Show in San Diego in October. These are the two latest additions to the Vega product range from VegaStream that enable businesses and ISPs to take full advantage of internet/intranet technology for integrated voice and data communications.

"These products will allow SMEs to access services such as voice, video, email, and other centralised pay-per-use applications at cost-effective rates all via one IP connection" explained Mike Hafferty, CEO at VegaStream.

The Vega 50 IAD FXS (phone-facing), aimed predominantly at the US market, is an 8 port IAD suitable for SME’s, which connects directly to a traditional analogue phone. With a LAN interface and available with either SIP or H.323 protocol stacks, it has the added advantage of 2 fall-back ports which enable calls to be routed via the traditional phone network if desired, or if the IP network needs to be shut down for any reason.

The Vega 50 BRI, the other addition to the Vega 50 range, which is aimed primarily at the European market connects PBX BRI ports. Allowing 8 simultaneous calls through 4 BRI interfaces, the Vega 50 BRI is also ideal for expanding SME’s. As with the entire Vega product range, the Vega 50 BRI is available with H.323 or SIP version 2 protocols as standard.

Mike Hafferty continued, "These latest additions create a flexible Vega product range to cater for all possible IP network requirements for the SME wishing to take advantage of a fully integrated communications network whilst still being able to use their existing telephone network. These new products open up the SME market to the service providers. For the service providers, a multi-billion dollar opportunity now awaits them."

The Vega 50 IAD and BRI, as with the rest of the Vega product range, incorporate VegaStream’s unique patent-pending "Plug-in-and-go" design which omits end-user configuration, enabling end-users with a minimum of IT knowledge to instantaneously take advantage of a fully-integrated IP communications network. VegaStream are the world leaders in VoIP products, being the only company that concentrates on designing and producing bespoke gateways specifically for VoIP use.

The Vega product range will be on show at booth 104 at the Internet Telephony Conference and Expo in San Diego that takes place from 4th-6th October at the Hotel Del Coronado.
