CTI EXPO TEAMS WITH PAGETALK TO WEBCAST SHOW EVENTS AND NEWS

Norwalk, CT, May 22, 1999 - Technology Marketing Corp. and PageTalk have teamed up to deliver late-breaking show news, exclusive interviews with industry leaders, and daily show briefings on the Internet via TMCnet.com from CTI EXPO Spring ’99, to be held next Monday through Wednesday at the Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.

The editors and staff of TMC will use PageTalk to host a variety of audio broadcasts at CTI EXPO, including reports from the show floor as well as news from behind the scenes.

In conjunction with PageTalk (booth #1218), there will be an editors’ booth at CTI EXPO where interviews will be conducted and reports generated. And with over 300 exhibitors, representing the cream of the crop in computer-telephony integration, Internet telephony, and call center technology, there will be plenty of news to report. To preview some of the news from CTI EXPO exhibitors, visit TMCnet.com and click on the CTI EXPO icon, then click on "press releases."

PageTalk is a prime illustration of the type of datacom/telecom convergence technologies, and the applications they enable, that will be on display at CTI EXPO Spring ’99. If you were to contribute to a PageTalk-enabled site, you would call in and enter a PIN number that would associate you with a specific RealAudio link on the Web. You would record a voice message and hang up, and the message would be posted in RealAudio format to a Web server.

The system allows users to dial in from anywhere in the world to record audio content for the Web. PageTalk is especially useful for someone who has a Web site that needs constant audio updating and refreshing. The free service features a button installed on the user’s Web site that allows instant audio communication to the world.

PageTalk’s presence isn’t the only distinguishing feature at CTI EXPO. On the show floor, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the exhibitors include standard-bearers Microsoft, IBM, Lucent Technologies, and Natural MicroSystems. In addition, CTI EXPO will feature informative seminars each day. They will cover a wide range of topics under the general headings of CTI Technology, Internet Telephony, Call Center Technology, and People and Learning, hosted by representatives of top industry vendors.

There will also be five Learning Centers, areas of the show floor dedicated to providing free CTI tutorials. Technical representatives from a half-dozen vendors will educate attendees on the technology of the center’s theme, rather than pitching their particular solution. For CTI EXPO Spring ’99, the Learning Center topics will be: Internet Telephony; TAPI 3.0; Unified Messaging; CLEC/ISO Enhanced Services; and Voice/Data Switches (LAN-based devices with PBX functionality, but typically relying on IP, not circuit-switching technology).

On Tuesday and Wednesday morning, industry leaders will deliver keynote addresses: Peter Alexander of Cisco Systems, Inc.; James Courter of IDT Corp.; Tom Evslin of ITXC Corp.; Zack Taylor of Lucent Technologies; and Dr. Peter Schiefer of Siemens AG.

TMC's CTIÔ EXPO Spring '99 launches CellIT C@llCenter

Norwalk, CT, May 14, 1999 - In an industry first, Technology Marketing Corp. will feature a live, multimedia blended call center at CTI™ EXPO Spring ’99. Live calls will be taken and made right on the Exhibit Hall floor on May 25 and 26 (Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.). The call center, sponsored by CellIT (www.cellit.com), will include various exhibitors collaborating on a cohesive, interoperable business solution.

"CTI™ EXPO has become one of the fastest-growing trade shows in the country — a testament to the growth of the markets CTI™ EXPO serves," said Rich Tehrani, TMC group publisher and CTI™ EXPO co-chairman. "Computer-telephony integration, Internet telephony, and call center technologies are advancing at an astronomical rate."

Along with the call center, CTI™ EXPO will feature top-flight Learning Centers, areas on the show floor where attendees can pick up objective, critical information on five key industry areas: Internet telephony; Microsoft’s new TAPI 3.0 architecture standard; unified messaging; CLEC/ISP enhanced services; and voice/data switches (a.k.a. IP-PBXs).

The Learning Centers will include a half-dozen top vendors as participants, giving information, not marketing hustle, on the latest in computer-telephony integration. Engineers from the state-of-the-art TMC Labs will be on hand also.
